Ask Friends & Family to Donate

It’s exciting to share with your friends and family this unique opportunity to give back, support you, and support our veterans and service members. 

Email is the #1 way people ask for donations, and DonorDrive makes it easy. You can import contacts, create messages, and send them to your friends and family directly from your DonorDrive dashboard. You can also ask in person, over the phone, or via text. If friends and family are unable to support your fundraiser with a gift, ask if they’ll help you spread the word by sharing your fundraiser on social media or sending a few emails on your behalf. 

Connect Your Social Networks 

Did you know you can connect your fundraiser with Twitter and Facebook to send fundraising updates to your friends? This makes you twice as likely to reach your fundraising goal. You can connect your account to social media directly from your DonorDrive dashboard. 

Engage Your Company & Coworkers

Many companies have employee giving and company match programs. You can ask your coworkers to donate to your fundraiser or join your event, invite your company to match donations, and even seek out corporate donations and sponsorships. 

Share Updates

Don’t forget to share pictures and status updates of your fundraiser event with your network, friends, and family. Social media and email are great tools to do this.
